T-Level Education and Childcare

Laurie has accepted an unconditional offer and scholarship to study Education, SEN and Mental Health at York St Johns University.

Laurie was interested in studying Level 3 Childcare and Education at NCD and was offered a place on the first cohort of T-Levels so accepted the place.

Laurie said:

“When I was offered a place on the T-Level course I decided that is what I wanted to do. The staff were really friendly and incredibly helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed – being able to express yourself freely was nothing like my secondary school.

“The best thing about the course was gaining hands-on experience working in a primary school as part of my industry placement. This allowed me to link what I learnt in class to the real world.

“I was an ambassador for the LGBTQIA Society. It was great to have a group to speak to about personal experiences, and to have fun with and watch films.â€
