Skills Bootcamps offer bespoke training solutions to bridge existing skills gaps within high demand sectors by providing local people with the technical training needed to secure employment within high demand/growth sectors. 

 

 

 

 

 

We are proud to be working with North East Local Enterprise Partnership, North of the Tyne Combined Authority, Gateshead ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵAPP¹ÙÍø and Tees Valley Combined Authority to deliver a range of funded and flexible Skills Bootcamps in:

• Green Skills
• Construction
• Digital
• Creative
• Hospitality and Catering
• Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing
• Leadership and Management.

• What is a Skills Bootcamp?

  Skills Bootcamps offer free*, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks. They give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with a local employer.

  Each Skills Bootcamp aims to help you improve your employability skills in a wide range of areas, including:

  • Your confidence with numbers and budgeting
  • Specialist digital construction skills
  • Futureproof sector-specific green skills

  Completion of a Skills Bootcamp will provide you with new skills to progress in your role or embark on a new career, you will gain a nationally recognised qualification and #SkillsForLife.

• Who are bootcamps for?

  They are available for adults aged 19+ on 31^st August 2023 or over who are either in work or recently unemployed and live in England.

  We work across a large geography and some bootcamps are only eligible learners or employers in specific locations. The details of this will be in the descriptions.

  However, if you are not in the locations listed, please do get in touch as opportunities change often.

• How much do they cost?

  The training is free if you meet the following criteria:

  • Aged over 19 years of age
  • Self-employed, recently unemployed or looking for work e.g. coming back into the workforce after a career break
  • Resident in England and legally entitled to live and work in the UK

  Employers can access this training to upskill your staff at a discounted price. Large employers contribute 30% of the total cost and SMEs contribute 10%. Costs of each bootcamp vary therefore we would encourage you to contact us to find out more.

• How long do they last?

  Bootcamps are a minimum of 60 hours and a maximum of 16 weeks. Take a look at the information for each of the bootcamps, the length and hours will be specified.

• What happens after the bootcamp?

  As part of a Skills Bootcamp, you will be offered an opportunity for an interview in the Skill Bootcamp industry.
