Media photography 2022 Jay 2 1000pxOur media students were provided with the photography brief to encourage young people to become more comfortable with who they are, whilst exploring their creativity to produce five images inspired by the quote below:

It's one thing to take a picture of what a person looks like, it's another thing to make a portrait of who they are.’                                                                                                                                                                                           – Paul Caponigro

The group planned and developed their own individual projects, using the brief to make decisions, experimenting with techniques and reflecting on their approach, applying their technical skills and professionalism, and producing something that engages the audience.

“I have progressed from Level 2 and joined media because I really enjoy the creative freedom and want to continue in this field.”

Daniel Cooling said:

“I’ve liked media for ages and definitely want to continue on to university and work in photography or film.”

Grace Waite enthused:

“I have a keen interest in movies and tv shows and really wanted to learn the creative process behind the scenes.”

James Brown said:

“I want to work on projects that create content that people can connect with and will help them mentally.”

John Robson commented:

“I did photography at school and would get lost in taking photos, it was a creative release, and I want a career that makes me feel the same way.”
