Construction Beamish Museum 1Year 2 Construction students visited Beamish Museum for a timeline of architectural styles over the years. The world-famous open-air living museum tells the story of life in North East England from 1800s, 1900s, 1940s and the new 1950s.

A trip back in time allowed the group to see, and feel, how buildings have developed through historic eras. As part of their building surveying unit, the group will provide photos and analyse the differences between the types of buildings.

The students said they really enjoyed the trip and learnt a lot about the buildings and how they have changed over time.

Construction Beamish Museum 2Josh Junior Sugden Daye commented:

“Our trip to Beamish was very interesting. I enjoyed learning about the different building eras whilst experiencing them in real life.”
